“autoR” (2010) by Carsten Nicolai is the third project realized by the Temporäre Kunsthalle Berlin on its facade. “autoR” is conceived as a self-organizing process. Visitors actively contribute to the design of the facade by individually applying stickers designed by the artist. After the Temporäre Kunsthalle was covered with sheets of white PVC, the second phase of the project “autoR” now consists in applying stickers to it. Application of stickers begins on June 8, 2010, 11 am. During the first week (8–13 June, 11 am—6 pm) aerial work platforms will be available, allowing visitors to attach stickers up to a height of eleven meters. Afterwards, visitors still have the possibility to apply further stickers — without aerial platforms –until the end of the project (August 31, 2010). (This is the first video I don’t shoot with my cell phone – a Nokia 6300 – but with Lupo’s camera: a Samsung NV11)

When Is An Electric Scissor Lift The Best Choice For Your Project

There are different kinds of scissor lifts used for certain types of industrial jobs. For instance, there are electric and gas-powered lifts, as well as highly specialized lifts with varying weight capacities and lift heights. It can be difficult trying to determine which lift would be most appropriate for your project needs. The electric scissor lift is best suited for larger warehouse and indoor projects.

The electric scissor lift offers additional workspace, making it ideal for team-centered projects. The additional workspace also comes in handy for projects that will require the frequent transport of a heavy volume of materials or parts. Another benefit associated with using this type of lift is its suitability for indoor use. Electric scissor lifts are used for indoor and warehouse projects because they are relatively quiet. There’s also the added benefit of not having to worry about emissions, as one would with fuel-powered lifts. The maneuverability of electric scissor lifts provides a distinct advantage in tight and compact work spaces because it’s perfectly suited for making tight turns. There is also the convenient option of powering the electric scissor lift from an electrical outlet, should the charge in the battery run out. There are many benefits associated with using an electric scissor lift in warehouse and indoor environments.

The benefits associated with using the electric scissor lift make it the best option for larger scale, indoor projects requiring optimal workspace. The lift’s desirable for such projects because of its maneuverability, low noise levels and reduced emission levels. For more information visit to our site at http://www.ahern.com

The MACK Group, LLC (website http://www.mackgrp.com ) completed the asbestos abatement of the former Point Pleasant Hospital located in Point Pleasant New Jersey.  This large project consisted of the asbestos removal of various asbestos containing materials as well as the abatement of several large boilers.

The project scope consisted of the asbestos abatement, removal and proper disposal of 200,000 square feet of asbestos floor tile and mastic, 70,000 square feet of asbestos roofing, 6000 lineal feet of asbestos piping, 3500 square feet of asbestos sprayed-on fireproofing and the removal of several asbestos containing boilers.  All removals were done in accordance with all applicable rules and regulations including EPA, OSHA, AHERA and NESHAP.

The project schedule was aggressive as the developer needed to complete the project quickly in order to immediately start building the future condominiums.  The Mack Group, LLC beat this fast track schedule by 2 weeks.  In addition, the work was completed without injury or incident.

The current property owner plans to build several luxury condominiums on the property.  The property is located on the corner of the Manasquan River and the Point Pleasant Canal offering spectacular views.
