Some points to consider:
-Your objective is too long. It sounds more like part of a cover letter. Your object is should really be one line, and should be specific to the company and position you are applying for (e.g. Objective: The part-time sales associate position at Joe’s warehouse (Posting #123ABC). That’s it. If you want to go into detail about what you’ve done and what you can bring to a team, put that in a cover letter.
Qualifications – Make lists. List your certifications, when they were earned, and who confered them. “For over 20 years I have successfully managed construction jobs of all sizes. Some of my certifications include OSHA 30, Forklift, and Aerial lift safety. Qualified in many different project types and facets of the profession, a partial list includes:” Again, this belongs in a cover letter. On your resume consider:
Qualifications
OSHA 30 Certification Jan 1, 2000 Industrial Training Services
Forklift Certification Jan 1, 2001 Forklift Trainers Inc.
You also need to say HOW you are “qualified in many different project types and facets.” What makes you qualified? If you have special education or certificates those should be listed. If you have experience in the field, those should be listed under Experience not Qualifications.
Experience – This needs to be formatted as a list with Dates worked, Employer, Job Title, and then a bulleted list of your responsibilities. I don’t know what it means for you to have “supervices… from the ground up” any of those things, and neither would a potential employer. WHAT did you do to supervise? Did you interview and train staff? Did you manage the finances? Did you manage the workforce on site? Give examples. Specific things that you actually did, not a list of projects that you worked on.
I hope that helps. Consider using a resume template from Word or any other word processing program. You could also find resume templates online.
there is an article on AOL Welcome page today about writing a good cover letter, I suppose you have gone to websites on writing a good resume
